These Terms govern your use of the Scituate app and website provided by Shed Labs Studio. Contact nick@shedlabs.studio with questions.

Use of the Service

You may use the service for personal, lawful purposes. You agree not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit harmful or unlawful content, or violate applicable law.

Local Information

Scituate is a convenient companion for town information, but schedules, conditions, beach status, transit times, events, notices, rules, and service availability can change. Follow posted signs, official instructions, emergency notices, and information from the Town of Scituate and other responsible authorities.

No Government Affiliation

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the Scituate app is an independent product of Shed Labs Studio and is not an official service of the Town of Scituate.

No Emergency Use

The service is not an emergency notification system and should not be relied on for urgent safety decisions. In an emergency, call 911 or contact the appropriate authority.

Accounts and Community Features

You are responsible for activity on your account and for content you submit through profiles, check-ins, comments, or other community features. We may restrict accounts or remove content that is abusive, misleading, unlawful, unsafe, or harmful to the service or community.

Third-Party Services

The service may rely on third-party maps, transit and weather data, government sources, infrastructure, authentication, app stores, analytics, and notifications. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and their own terms may apply.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that information will always be complete, current, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shed Labs Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Changes will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
